Description
The image shows a crowded Pike midway and many amusements. Visible are the Rialto Theater, the Strand Theater, and the Plunge. Next door to the Rialto at number 119 a small sign also says, "Do-Nut Shop." The photographer has printed on the image: "On the Pike; Long Beach, Calif.; #83; W.M. S.c." American flags fly and bunting decorations are spaced along the midway above the crowd. DATE NOTES: Circa 1920's. ORIG. IMAGE: 3" x 5" sepia real photo postcard.
