Title supplied by cataloger.; Oversized photograph. Interior of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist located at 948 W. Adams Blvd. Lighted chandeliers hang from the domed ceiling over the pews. Quotations are on the walls behind the pulpit. They are "If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you, Christ Jesus" and "Jesus' three days' work in the sepulchre set the seal of eternity on time. He proved life to be deathless and love to be the master of hate, Mary Baker Eddy".; Completed in 1910 and designed by architect Alfred F. Rosenheim, the building is an example of Beaux Arts Classicism with Italian-Renaissance influence. It is Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument 57.
