Photograph caption dated January 5, 1954 reads, "San Fernando YMCA board members Sam Vaccarello, center, chairman, and Dave Ward, right, hold portrait they presented to Hardiman Fowler, left, for his contribution of $50,000 to 'Y.' Fowler of 400 Hagar St., San Fernando, has devoted 26 years of volunteer work to YMCA program. Money was used to purchase Rancho Romulo, 10940 Sepulveda Blvd., for new 'Y' home."
