Note in the hand of Grace Burke Hubble: "From the air, Spesutie Island, and the bridge over the Narrows, World War II, experiment ground used by EPH (Also penciled drawings on back) under snow. Huntington Library. Haunted House [Hubbles' residence on Spesutie Island] at bridge's end as it touches the island."
