Description
Photograph of the Tejon Ranch house, five or six miles from Fort Tejon, New Mexico, 1933. The one-story building sits at the top of a small hill, and sports a porch with an overhang supported by a colonnade, as well as a plank roof and two chimneys. There is a puddle of water or the beginnings of a small pond in the extreme foreground, after which on the beginning of the hill are what appear to be posts for a fence. Lining the top of the hill and the path leading to the house is a second fence, this one in the style of a hitching-post, approximately four feet high. Trees are visible in the right foreground and left background. A small, shrubbed hill is also visible, approximately twice the house's height, in the right background.
