Description
Cretors Model D Steam Engine serial no. 3604. Used to power automated popcorn and peanut roaster machines. Charles Cretors invented the first automated popcorn machine; prior to this, popcorn was cooked by hand over a pan and was often unevenly seasoned. Cretors also designed this engine to add flair to the concession stand: the polished metal and whirling flyball governor attracted customers. This model may be more rare because it includes a gauge and other parts. Has a worm-gear drive and oiler system.
