"Schwester Käte Reuter am Miskroskp" ("Sister Käte Reuter at the microscope"). Photograph of the nurse Käte Reuter looking through a microscope. She is sitting at a desk before an open window. Behind her a shelf with vessels can be seen. Another microscope is on the desk. Käte Reuter (1899-1989), from Saxony, served the Leipzig Mission as a nurse. From 1929 to 1933 she worked in Mbaga, then she moved to Gonja. For health reasons she returned to Germany in 1934, but she came back to Shigatini in 1935 and stayed until 1939.
