Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated February 7, 1962 partially reads, "Mary Badham, 9, ran across the sound stage at Universal Studios, the large red purse in her hand bouncing and her red sweater flying, and landed in the rubber tire swinging from an artificial tree. She smiled a happy smile and with her finger pulled aside her cheek to show a gaping hole. 'I lost a tooth last night,' said Mary. 'I got 20 cents for it. Want to know why I got so much? It had silver in it. I put it under my pillow and the good fairy came and took it.' Mary, 20 cents richer, will also be $500-a-week richer for 10 weeks beginning Feb. 13 when she and Phillip Alford, 13, who also will make $500 a week, will go before cameras in the motion picture 'To Kill A Mockingbird.'" Photograph caption reads, "Mary and Phillip scamper about tree house on studio lot. They'll be Gregory Peck's children in 'To Kill A Mockingbird.'"
