Description
This circa 1927 postcard features a black and white photograph of the concrete arch bridge which spanned the American River in Folsom. Construction on the so called Rainbow Bridge began in 1917 and was completed in 1919. It replaced the previous bridge at Folsom, which was a bowstring truss bridge built in 1893.
