Description
Caption reads: "Burton D. Collins, left, assistant director of the Sacramento County Parks and Recreation Department, yesterday accepted the deed of transfer to a low-level bridge across the American River from representatives of Lone Star Industries, Inc. Lone Star had used the bridge to haul gravel from its operation along the river near Fair Oaks. Collins accepted the bridge from L. W. Jarvey, center, plant superintendent, and W. E. Young, district sales manager for the company. The $125,000 bridge, no longer needed by the company, will be used for bicycle, pedestrian, and equestrian travel across the river.
