Description
"Klanderud med sin karjol lavet paa Ranovelona" ("Klanderud with his cariole made in Ranovelona"). Ole Klanderud was a carpenter. He managed the technical school in Andranovelona, near Ambohimasina from 1892-1900. The cariole was given as a gift to Queen Ranavalona III. The cariole was a prize winning item. He married Maren Olsdatter 1854-1920, in Norway on December 26, 1878.
