TWLF COMMUNIQUE #10
ON STRIKE!!
February 26, 1969
Brothers and Sisters,
The struggle goes on. We must stay together in the movement. The TWLF will continue to lead the people to liberation from American society which is racist and illegitimate. Please read the following, and contribute what you can to the movement.
1. Picketing from 11:00 am to 4:00 or so. Everyone please attend the noon rally on Sproul Hall steps. There will be important information. Please follow instructions from TWLF and Strike Support Monitors. Do not be provoked by the police; defend yourself if necessary.
2. The Noon Rally will feature TWLF Speakers, who will run down what has happened in negotiations, and what future plans may be. Please come.
3. Negotiations with the Chancellor will continue Thursday, at 2:00 pm. The Third World College proposal will be ready; specifics will be discussed. Please stay tuned in to what is happening--noon rallies, communiques, and the Chicano Center (642-0802). A more complete statement on the demands, what stage they are at, and what settlement means will come out Thursday, or Friday. The concept of self-determination will rule in all cases.
4. All Press Statements must go through the TWLF press bureau, and the TWLF Central Committee. Nobody is to make statements to the press except for the above people. Call 642-4216.
5. All Speakers must go through the TWLF Speakers Bureau, in 506 Eschleman Hall, 642-4216. A form is required to keep track of who has been spoken to, etc.
6. Academic Amnesty--grades, credits, etc--is being pushed for by the Amnesty Committee. The Academic Senate, Deans, and Department Chairmen are the targets. All willing to help on this worthwhile project, call 642-4216, 506 Eschleman sign up there on list.
7. Legal Defense is still in Chicano Center, 642-0804. Defense forms, witness statements, and other legal things can be had there. 2536 Channing Way.
8. The Medical Committee and First Aid Station is in the Lobby of Eschleman Hall. If help is needed at a distance, call 642-6392, and ask for medical committee.
