In foreground is large round up pen bordered by a wooden fence; inside the pen are cattle; two men on horses are near the fence in the lower left and further distant on the left are two additional horsemen in front of the large grouping of cattle; behind this field is a train of seven cars, a coal car and an engine; behind the train in the middle distance are fields and a diagonal hill; in the hazy background is another hilltop mountain, beginning on the left side and sloping to the right.

Probably showing Coe Brothers Ranch. Owned by Henry W. and Charles W., located in San Felipe Valley and Pine Ridge area near San Jose, was cattle ranch.
