The Pioneer Memorial Bridge was believed to benefit the civil development of Sacramento, as it would link both sides of the Sacramento River together.
Sponsored by many influential figures, including two Sacramento bishops, the membership of the Pioneer Memorial Bridge Association boasts a total of 88 signatures.
