Description
The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003.
View of the Farmer's Market at 6333 W. 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, looking towards the Clock Tower from the parking lot. The Farmer's Market at Third and Fairfax originated in 1934. Since an expansion and reconstruction in 1941, the Clock Tower has become a landmark of the Farmer's Market and a Los Angeles tourist attraction. The Clock Tower was moved to another location in 2002. Photograph dated January 1995.
