The "Bowl" officially opened on July 11, 1922 on the site of a natural amphitheater formerly known as the Daisy Dell. It has undergone several upgrades to improve seating as well as acoustics. Today, this magnificent open-aired amphitheater has a seating capacity of 17,376 and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, as well as the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
View is looking from the top of the hill towards the seating and inner shell of the Hollywood Bowl. Lloyd Wright (eldest son of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright) was the architect of this beautiful open-air theater.
