Photo-postcard captioned "Living Room and Valley View, Ekbachen, Mill Valley, Calif." Picture postcard of Valborg "Mama" Gravander's Mill Valley home on Tamalpais Avenue. Mama and her husband, Axel Gravander, came to San Francisco from their native Sweden in the early 1920's and moved to Mill Valley in 1945. Mrs. Gravander was well known in San Francisco and Marin for her weaving and her strong interest in sharing Swedish traditions. Card is addressed to "Mrs. Ralph Couch, 5304 - 42nd Ave., Hyattsville, Md." and includes the message: "Dear Mary, My sister from Sweden and I had a wonderful trip west and we are now visiting our sister here. this is her weaving studio.
