Description
The woman on the left wears a white ankle-length dress. Over the dress, she wears a blue, long-sleeved coat that reaches the knee and fastens under the bust. The coat has four bands of white lace at the collar, cuffs that bell out over the hands, and tone-on-tone detailing along the hem and the front. She wears a pale blue hat with a high, rigid crown trimmed with a bow and several large plumes. Her stockings are white, as are her flat, laced slippers with bows. A black purse hangs from a chain attached to the waist of her coat on the right, and she holds an unknown object in her left hand. The woman on the right stands in the background and wears a pink dress with long sleeves that bell out over the hands, a high waist, and skirts that come above the ankle. The woman's shoes are pink, lace-up slippers with bows at the toes, and her stockings are white. She wears white gloves and a white shawl and carries a closed, white fan. Her hat is pink and pointed, with a short brim and several dramatic pink plumes.
