Text written on photo: "1907 Car Strike Ferry to Sutter and Fillmore 25 cents." Written to right: "Busses from the Ferry to Sutter and Fillmore Sts. 25 cents per passenger during car strike 1907." Photo, looking southeast, shows a number of drays and wagons soliciting passengers in the heavily cobblestoned Ferry Plaza. One bears a destination sign reading "Ferry to Fillmore 25 cents;" another offers to take patrons to Golden Gate and Fillmore for the same price. Streetcar rides were only a nickel at this time. The turreted Ferry Post Office is visible in the center background.
