Frederic St., Burbank, a student at Burbank High School, won the sweepstakes trophy Saturday at Canoga Park High School in competition against 169 other high school journalists. The contest, sponsored by the National Assn. of Journalist Directors, was judged by professional and academic newsmen from the Los Angeles area. Winners will compete in a regional contest in May against journalists from other Southern California counties."
