Event, held Sunday at Pierce College Stadium in Woodland Hills, was sponsored by the West Valley YMCA. A YMCA spokesman said about 1,800 persons turned out for the father-son pow-wow in which about 1,000 of the fathers and sons participated. Although event was a success, the heat was blamed for discouraging another 1,200 from attending."
