Irene Carlson, West Valley's head librarian, believes that the tremendous volume stems from the library's convenient location - 19036 Vanowen St., Reseda - which is close to the freeway and within easy access of numerous Valley communities; its large selection of books, approximately 75,000 volumes; and the increasing number of school children and adults in the West Valley area."
