Description
Aerial sketch shows Santa Monica Mountain area from Topanga Canyon on the left to San Diego Freeway on the right, with San Fernando Valley in the background. Dotted lines throughout this area indicate the proposed route of approximately 60 miles of bridle trails. Along the top of the Mountain area, is the route of the proposed Mountain Scenic Highway with small trees indicating the proposed 10-acre parks and telescopes indicating scenic viewsites. Specifically labelled are projects of various public agencies, such as the U.C.L.A. Research Park, Encino Reservoir, Trippet Ranch Area State Park, Los Angeles County Sanitation districts Landfill Park, Mission Canyon Landfill Park, and others. Mulholland Scenic Highway will provide access for these publically owned properties. Photo dated: April 23, 1968.
