Description
This is a vintage print signed, titled, and dated in pencil by the artist on verso; artist's wet stamp also on verso.
The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003.
Western side of the Taft Building, located on the southeast corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. Three of the windows reveal office workers in the building. This Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument was designed by Walker and Eisen and built in 1923. Photograph dated May 1990.
