Photograph caption dated January 20, 1981 reads, "Former boxing champ Muhammad Ali talked a would-be leaper from a threatened suicide attempt, coaxing the distraught vet from a ninth-floor perch outside a building on Wilshire Boulevard. Ali invited the man to come home with him. 'We both cried a few tears, me because I felt sorry for him.
