Description
"Miss.Gulbrandsens grav. Sirabe" ("Missionary Gulbrandsen's grave. Sirabe"). This cemetery was planned for foreigners who died. Malagasy name: Ampasambahiny. The Vohitra hill can be seen in the background. Ludvig Emil Gulbrandsen was a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1897. He died in Antsirabe on March 21, 1897. He was the manager of Loharano Mission Station 1888-1890, Ambato Mission Station 1890-1891 and Loharano Mission Station 1891-1897. He married Walborg Fredrikke 1858-1925, maiden name Jacobsen, in 1889 in Madagascar.
