Description
Tito Puente (1923-2000)--percussionist, bandleader, composer and arranger--was a UCLA Regents' lecturer in 1994. Puente was a regular at the Hollywood Palladium and the Zenda Ballroom in Los Angeles. He was also a regular in the San Francisco Bay Area, playing at venues like Sweet's Ballroom in Oakland. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (north side of the 6900 block of Hollywood Boulevard).
