Description
Scrapbook created by the Exchange Club of San Jose documenting their sponsored week of crime prevention, February 9-15, 1958. Includes clippings about crime prevention and juvenile crime; proclamation by Mayor Robert C. Doerr; "Ten Rules on How to be a Good American Citizen;" Script for radio or television interview from the National Exchange Club; scripts for radio announcements; and two black and white publicity photographs. (San Jose Mayor at the time was Robert C. Doerr; Chief of Police was Ray Blackmore; and San Jose Exchange Club president was Har Henry) One of 15 scrapbooks created by the Exchange Club of San Jose documenting the organization's community service projects in the 1950s.
