1989-1349. In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. D, leaf 7. Broad street with structures on both sides and ends in additional structures at end of street; on left side corner 2 story building shows "CocaCola" sign on the corne side. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. "2nd & Jay street. Looking West. Old B.F. Hastings Bank Bldg. left, erected in 1853. Failed in business in 1871. Occupied by Wells Fargo Express Co. in 1863."
