Description
Pictured is a complete program for the 1974 Production of “Skating Around the World: A Symphony on Ice” as presented by the Capital City Skating Club. The program’s music and costumes have an international theme throughout.
Terri Kerth Wildman, the Director of the show, told Sacramento Bee reporter Jan May Bassett in 1974 “People think ice skating is harder than it is. It’s easier to learn to turn on ice skates than roller skates. Ice skating is related to ballet is some respects – the grace, the jumps, the spins. But the figures are very time consuming and take hours to perfect.”
