Description
This 1926 photograph shows founding members of the Sacramento Riding Club, posing upon their horses just after a Sunday "breakfast ride" at the Atlasta Ranch, located in the Del Paso area of Sacramento County. Pictured are E.C. Porter, H. Hordorn, R.C. Everett, P.G. Nathan, H.J. Kinkead, Selma Lavensen Schwartz, C.G. Noack, H.B. Drescher, Nan Sauze, Ethel Hook, Irma Chamberlain, Lilla Rita Gallaway, Kathryn Remick, Georgann Diggs, Mary Sweeney, Winifred Kaseberg; J.W. Coburn, Paul Robertson, Marchall Fisher, A.R. Gallaway, Herrell Koontz, Royce Blakely, and L.C. Jones. Those on the porch and in the carriage are unidentified. Owned by native Michigander Joseph Preusser, the Atlasta was 28-acre poultry and wheat ranch, located off of the 10.1 mile mark of Auburn Boulevard.
