Description
Photograph of exterior of the International Paper Company dissolving pulp mill, 1958. At center, the large exterior of a factory is visible in an open lot. As seen at center, the factory is composed of several rectangular buildings lined with windows. Large cylindrical tanks are visible attached to parts of each building. Also near the buildings, two large smokestacks are visible. Billows of smoke can be seen emerging from these tall smokestacks, and streams of smoke can also be seen emerging from the five small pipes to the immediate left of the smokestacks. To the far left of the factory, two wide cylindrical tanks line the ground next to the buildings. To the far right, a small water tower is seen standing among a sparse group of trees. In the foreground of the factory, lines of automobiles sit parked in a large, open parking lot. In the extreme foreground, dense clusters of trees line the perimeter of the factory. Similar clusters of trees can be seen in the extreme background.
