Description
Two "California cars" make their away through the entrance to Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood in circa 1915. The street cars were called as much because of their open ends and enclosed center, and the comfort afforded passengers during the Sacramento Valley's long, hot summers. At the time of this postcard's release, the city's street car system was operated by Pacific Gas and Electric, whose local offices were based at Station A at Sixth and H streets.
