"Reverend Essie Binkley West serving turnkey to sisters, left to right, Georgie Johnson, 16 Donna Johnson, 14 Linda Johnson, 11 and Nova Johnson, 15. Reverend West is the founder of 'girls' Town Christian School Riverside'. Photo was made at Sunshine Mission for women and children, 2600 South Hoover" -- typed on verso. Sign on the wall in the background reads "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life." Published in the Examiner on 26 November 1955.
