Description
MacArthur Park, created in the 1880's under the name Westlake Park, was later renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur. This picture shows a painting by Chris Siemer of Wilshire Blvd. cutting through MacArthur Park in the late 1930s, for a display for the L.A. Chamber of Commerce.
