Amanda Chapel was named in memory of Amanda Anderson McCarthy, mother of the community developer. The chapel is now an Episcopalian Church. Across the street can be seen apartment buildings. There are also duplexes in the Carthay Circle, both designed to complement the majority single-family residences in the development."
