Description
A woman of African origin sings at Saint James Healing Church of Christ, Bladensburg, Maryland. December 30, 2002, 9pm. The woman is wearing a vestment with a hood, and has her left arm extended in praise. Her right hand holds a microphone. In the background, on the right, are 2 more women dressed similarly, holding microphones and singing. In the background center is the altar and two crosses are visible. The atmosphere is smoky because of burning incense. This is a church whose congregation is made up entirely of African immigrants to the US.
