Image of a group of portraits, American history vignettes, and images of buildings and monuments to celebrate the United States Centennial Exhibition held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1876; portraits include Christopher Columbus, George Washington and his generals, the signers of the Declaration of Independence, the presidents of the United States from 1776-1876, Israel Putnam, Joseph Warren, and Colonel William Prescott; the 1876 Exhibition building is pictured at center; historical scenes include the battle of Bunker Hill, the battle of Lexington, and the surrender at Yorktown.
