Description
The Comunicacion Aztlan collective was active during the early 1970s and produced many memorable recordings of Chicano/Latino culture, politics and poetry. Most of the activities of Comunicacion Aztlan collective were centered at KPFA-FM in Berkeley. In 1972, members of the collective traveled to Texas to record La Raza Unida Convention, a historic gathering of several hundred delegates from more than 40 states attended the week-long convention from September 1-5, 1972
