Description
Photograph of Flooded street looking north on 4th Avenue from Slauson, January 1932. In the extreme foreground at center, a wide road can be seen extending into the extreme background. A large layer of water sits on the road, with some water even spilling over onto the sidewalks. To the far left and right of the road, rows of small homes can be seen. At the center of the street, two automobiles can be seen plowing through the water. Large waves churn beneath the tires of the automobile. A row of trees and small patches of lawn line both sides of the street. In the extreme background at center, a car can be seen parked against the curb.
