Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated February 1, 1954 reads, "Happy participants on the Starlighters' skating float, one of a score in fifth annual March of Dimes Parade, flash benefit smiles along Montrose avenue [sic], where event was held after police ban prevented Sunland-Tujunga from hosting their traditional fund-raising spectacle. More than 20,000 spectators lined Montrose streets to see movie and TV stars, floats, bands and equestrian units, billed this year as the Verdugo Valley Parade. Officials estimated contributions would exceed last year's $10,000 figure."
