Part 1: Firefighting efforts at grass fire/wildfire in Santa Cruz (silent); meeting, possibly college football coaches before Santa Clara County Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association (silent); San Jose State football coach Harry Anderson evaluates their team against Stanford University. Part 2: Luther Lee Cazadd rescues Joan M. Culling and her baby from automobile trapped on Caltrain railroad tracks at Cottle and Monterey Highway (silent); San Francisco Giants General Manager Chub Feeny announces they have retained Herman Franks as manager, talks teams chances. Part 3: Governor Pat Brown visits San Jose and comments on candidate Ronald Reagan's claim that Brown rents a home in Los Angeles with restrictive covenants; East Palo Alto leaders meet to discuss annexation proposal to Menlo Park, local newspaper editor John Rayon says it will create a black ghetto; Part 4: Group of San Jose youngsters held on murder charges enter Superior Court to enter motion to be remanded back to juvenile court for trial (silent); Hester School third grade students draw school safety posters to enter in the "Safetyrama" at Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (silent).
