Photo taken on Saturday, April 15, 2000, at the opening of "100 years of Architecture" exhibition at the Geffen Museum of Contemporary Art. The Museum of Contemporary Art, also known as MOCA, is a museum with three separate facilities: MOCA Grand Avenue, The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and MOCA at The Pacific Design Center. The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, located in the Little Tokyo district, is the largest of the three. The building was renovated by architect Frank Gehry and became known as the "Temporary Contemporary" when it opened its doors in the fall of 1983. In 1996, MOCA received a $5-million gift from the David Geffen Foundation, and in recognition of this gift, the Temporary Contemporary was renamed The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. It is located at 152 N. Central Ave. Photograph dated April 15, 2000.
