Description
Shown in this circa 1960 postcard is the interior and shrine of the Sacramento Buddhist Church Betsuin at 2401 Riverside Boulevard. Located in the northwest-most section of the building, its seating capacity was set at 400, but was expandable to 500 by the use of connecting rooms. By the late 1980s, the congregation of 2,400 was the second largest in the nation, behind one in San Jose.
