Description
Photograph of unloading piles of old newspapers from a truck at the Fibreboard Products Company, ca.1930. At center, a large truck with an elongated flat bed is seen transporting numerous blocks of old newspapers. The blocks of newspapers are fastened to the truck by several ropes. The door of the truck is made with a piece of material, and three tires can be seen from the side of the vehicle. A single man is visible on top of the stack of papers gazing to the right. To the right of the truck, two additional men can be seen standing near the doorway of a large building. In front of the men, a small platform supporting numerous newspapers can be seen. Above the men, a fire-escape ladder system is attached to the side of the building. Four windows are also visible along the brick structure.
