Description
Photograph of an aerial view of Long Beach, looking northwest from over the ocean, 1924. The city sprawls out in the foreground. It is a dense collection of tall buildings and straight roads. The shoreline is visible in the foreground at right, and a pier can be seen jutting out into the ocean. In the distance, a line of oil derricks is visible as it stretches across the entire image. Beyond the derricks, the land is open and free of buildings.
