Photographic portrait of people in front of Sackett Store, Post Office, and Hotel on the southwest corner of Cahuenga Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard, March 18, 1899. Eight women and three men are standing in a group at center. Two men and two women are on bicycles. There is a dog in front of the group at right, and a horse is tied to a hitching post at right. The store is behind them and is housed in a large, two-story Victorian building. A tall eucalyptus tree blocks the view of the second story of the building. Legible signs include, from left to right, "Bargains in Dry Goods Underwear Hats Boots", "Hollywood", "Post Office", "Hardware", "H. D. Sackett" and "Teas, coffee & Spices".
