Description
"Antsirabe stationshus og kirke, det gamle hospital" ("Antsirabe Mission Station and Church, the old hospital"). This is positively wrong, because the old hospital would be to the left and out of sight in this image. To the left: the old guest house. The Antsirabe Mission Station is in the middle of the picture by the tall tree. Furthest to the right: the church - you can see the tower or steeple. The guest house was built in 1888 to be used together with the healthy warm springs nearby in the valley. The building was later on ( from 1929 to 1955) used by the Norwegian School for missionary children. Demolished in 1974. The house was made of bricks that were not burned.
