The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on November 29, 1965 states: "Dedicated -- The $210,000 main branch Amador County Library was dedicated during a public ceremony this morning in Jackson. The facility, which contains 8,000 square feet of floor space and has a capacity to shelve 50,000 volumes, opened to the public after the dedication."
