Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on January 7, 1963 states: "The new 11 story, $8.5 million Harvey's Wagon Wheel hotel and casino in Stateline, Lake Tahoe, rises high above its companion structures. Some facilities in the hotel have been opened for several months while others will be opened in the near future. The hotel claims to have the largest number of slot machines under one roof anywhere in the world. The first casino at Lake Tahoe opened in 1946."
